Toshiba's notebooks are at the top of the industry, and the Satellite A10 is no exception. This desktop replacement gives you plenty of functionality in a lightweight form factor. It's configured with a 2.4GHz Celeron processor, a 256KB on-chip L2 cache, a 40GB hard drive and 256MB PC2100 DDR SDRAM (expandable to 1GB). In addition to the 400MHz bus speed, this model features a 24x10x24x8 (max. speeds) CD-RW/DVD-ROM combo drive with DVD movie viewing software and one Type II PC Card slot. You have a choice of connectivity with a V.92/56K modem and a 10/100 Ethernet controller. You'll get sharp, colorful visuals from the Intel 852GM integrated graphics with 32MB shared system memory, supporting resolutions up to 1024 x 768 on the 15" TFT display and external resolutions up to 1920 x 1440 in 16 million colors. The Analog Devices AD1981 codec stereo audio with Sound Blaster Pro compatibility delivers lifelike sound through dual integrated speakers. The Satellite A10 comes with a rechargeable Li-Ion battery pack with up to 3 hours of run time, an AC adapter, a full-size keyboard with dedicated Windows keys and a touchpad. Windows XP Professional is pre-installed.
