Canon brings the fun back into digital photography without compromising its renowned image quality. PowerShot cameras are designed to look, handle, and operate like cameras you may be used to using - except they're digital. The PowerShot A70 is perfect if you want more control over your photographic experience. The A70's DIGIC Imaging Processor improves image quality, enhances auto focus accuracy and increases processing speed for sharper images that can be shot faster. Its iSAPS technology meaningfully relates peripheral brightness and the zoom position of the lens to pre-calculate the distance between the camera and the subject.

Canon developed fully captured 3.2 megapixels of image quality. This ensures vivid, sharply detailed images with an excellent resolution so you can enlarge and crop with confidence. With 3.2 megapixels, the PowerShot A70 produces photo-realistic prints with its fast, high-quality 3X optical and 3.2X digital zoom lens featuring a 35mm film format equivalent focal length range of 35mm through 105mm. This is perfect for group shots, or tightly framed portraits.
With Its f/2.8-4.8 maximum aperture, the A70 has one of the fastest lenses in its class.
This, along with the camera's sophisticated 5-point AiAF system allows you
to put your subject almost anywhere in the frame.
The A70's built-in flash provides a range of 46cm - 4.2m (W) and 46cm - 2.5m (T).
Flash operation modes include auto, red-eye reduction auto and red-eye reduction on.

View your images on the 1.5-inch TFT-color LCD. The A70 gives you flexibility with its multiple interfaces including USB, Video Output (NTSC or PAL selectable), and CompactFlash card slot (Type I).
